) terjawab sudah. EMTK akhirnya memutuskan untuk menutup layanan perpesanan ini.

Dalam pesan terakhirnya kepada para pengguna disebutkan BBM akan berhenti beroperasi pada 31 Mei 2019.

"Time to Say GOOD BYE" ujar pesan yang disampaikan kepada pengguna BBM, seperti dikutip Kamis (18/4/2019). "BBM akan berhenti beroperasi pada 31 Mei 2019. Terima kasih sudah menjadi bagian dari perjalanan BBM di Indonesia."

Asal tahu saja, Pada 2016, Creative Media Works Pte. Ltd (CMW Pte Ltd) menandatangani perjanjian lisensi BBM konsumen dengan Blackberry Limited untuk mengoperasikan layanan pesan BBM Consumer Cross Platform. Sebanyak 99% saham CMW Pte Ltd dimiliki Media PT Kreatif Media Karya (KMK).

Sayang platform perpesanan ini yang sempat populer di era tahun 2000-an ini tidak berkembang dengan baik. Terjadi penurunan pengguna aktif yang signifikan sejak Juni 2016.

CWM Pte Ltd pun memutuskan menutup kantor di Kanada, Dubai dan Singapura pada akhir 2018. Operasional yang tetap akan ada hanya di Indonesia.

EMTK merupakan perusahaan yang memiliki 3 divisi usaha utama yakni media, telekomunikasi, dan solusi TI, serta konektivitas.
